MORAG MUIR

Fine Artist

'Muir is a remarkable artist who has demonstrated over the past 30 years her dedication to art. My awareness of Muir’s work began a few decades ago when I saw her pieces on the walls of the local Turkish art collector and restaurant owner Zeki Agacan. I was intrigued by the bold maturity of her early compositions and the allure of her more recent work, as well as her dedication to painting.'

Pittenweem Arts Festival Saturday 04 August – Sunday 12 May 2018 www.pittenweemartsfestival.co.uk Please let me know if you would like me to email you an invite to my festival opening night event: 7.00 – 9.00pm, Friday 03 August, 2018. See contact details in the top menu.

There is a section on the enormously popular North Fife Open Studio event, where artists from throughout North Fife open their studio doors to thousands of people from all over the UK, during the bank holiday weekend.

I always look forward to these annual events as they bring the artists close to such wonderfully enthusiastic audiences, creating the perfect hub to meet old friends and also to make new ones. I hope I'll see you at an exhibition sometime soon!

Wishing you all the best . . .

It's been an enjoyable and busy year so far, with a recent study trip to Lucca in Italy. Lots of sketching and a number of small watercolours completed. I'm looking forward to developing these studies into larger works in-studio.

'I always look forward to these annual events . . .'

On the website we've included interactive slide-show galleries and various sections that I hope you will find interesting and informative. You will also find information about the Pittenweem Arts Festival (05 – 13 August), where I'll be  exhibiting for my 14th consecutive year.
